  • The hat or headpiece remains the property of designer hat hire.com at all times.
  • The full hire fee of the hat/headpiece is payable on reservation.
  • The full hire fee will be refunded for cancellations made 30 days before the hire date. The full hire fee will be retained for cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the hire date.
  • On collection, a deposit is required for all items, equivalent to the retail cost of the item. This will be in the form of a credit card imprint that will be returned on receipt of the item if it is returned in the condition it was hired. For clients using the concierge service you will be contacted to obtain secure credit card details.
  • For the comfort of future hirers, all items will be fully inspected upon their return.
  • designer hat hire.com reserves the right to retain the full deposit if the item is returned marked or damaged in any way.  This includes but is not limited to, dents, holes, make-up and rain marks. The item is not to come back smelling of smoke, perfume or hair products. If this happens the deposit will be retained.
  • Hats and headpieces are hired per occasion. Hire periods usually last three days (within Melbourne) and five days for regional Victoria and interstate. This can be flexible and longer periods can be arranged at an additional cost depending on availability.
  • The late return of any item will be charged at a rate of $20.00 per day.
  • Should a previous hirer not return an item you have booked to hire or it is damaged, designer hat hire.com will endeavour to find a suitable replacement. Exact style and colour cannot be guaranteed. Liability is limited to the return of the hire charge, if a suitable alternative is not available
